The essential functions of the position include:


  • The safety and health of employees take precedence over all duties of this job.
  • E/I authorized on all equipment.
  • Performs repairs on all plant equipment (Gel, Brick, Polyurethane, reclamation, pumps, fill systems, air compressors and lift trucks).
  • Perform, maintain PM system and record all plant maintenance & inspections as required according to equipment manufacturers recommendation and internal quality standards.
  • Repair any fluid or air leaks relating to machinery and tools.
  • Responsible for the installation and removal of all auxiliary equipment from the manufacturing floor.
  • Perform preventive inspections, lubrication, periodic and incidental maintenance, and repair of production equipment, vehicle equipment and building.
  • Build, install, remodel, troubleshoot and/or make changes to building grounds or equipment, including structures, electrical systems, mechanical systems, pneumatic systems, building systems and related maintenance.
  • Assist in the design, specification and/or procurement of new equipment. Work with outside contractors and vendors as necessary.
  • Assist in training personnel on the operation of production equipment.
  • Ensure all documentation is completed, submitted and filed in a timely manner.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously as needed.
  • Ability to calibrate equipment as necessary.
  • Attends shift start up meetings.
  • Maintains cleanliness of areas.
  • Performs all duties in a manner that demonstrates the highest level of quality and safety.
  • Participate in all safety initiatives.
  • Follow good manufacturing practices.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • Minimum (3) years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Degree preferred and/or Military Technical and/or secondary education a requirement.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical mechanic equipment.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Understanding of how to read mechanical and part prints
  • Must be able to read and or understand written and verbal policy, instruction and directions in English.

  • Ability to push, pull, lift and/or carry up to 75 pounds on a frequent basis and up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Ability to frequently bend, stand, stoop and grasp.
  • Ability to manipulate small parts on a consistent basis.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools
  • Must be able and willing to work overtime as needed.
